The Audition Workshop with with Dressmaker Casting Director, Amanda Mitchell

Due to the overwhelming response to last year’s Sydney and Brisbane casting workshops with Amanda Mitchell, we are excited to announce our Perth audition class, in the lead up to 2017’s pilot season.

The workshop is dedicated to demystifying the casting process. We discuss variables in casting decision-making,  answer questions about acting for film and television, and discuss the differences in casting for Australia and the US. Our workshops provide a safe space for actors to explore their own audition technique.

Participants will be allocated appropriate scenes for their age and experience, to prepare in advance.  We encourage those wishing to practice their US accent, to take the opportunity.  Actors will perform a “mock audition”, and be given notes / feedback allowing them to make adjustments and take direction.  They will also learn by observing others in the workshop. All auditions will be recorded and used as a reference for our records.

DATE: Sunday, 4 December
TIME: 10am – 2pm
VENUE: PERTH FILM SCHOOL 4/513 Hay Street Subiaco WA
WORKSHOP FEE: $275.00 (incl. GST)
