Perth Film School Students Speak for themselves – Nadia D
If someone were to ask me what my favourite part about being a student at Perth Film School was, I don’t think I could sum it up in one sentence. I enrolled in the Hollywood Package at PFS right after graduating high school without really knowing what to expect and it has been the most rewarding, educational and completely exciting acting experience I’ve ever had. I started the course knowing nothing about what it takes to be a screen actress, how to act on camera or even what a film set looks like. Now that I’ve completed the course I feel completely comfortable acting for the camera and have learnt the techniques required to do so, I know what to expect when on a film set, I have a full set of the character development tools necessary to properly create a character and I have a professional showreel!
All of this is made possible because of the expertise of the teacher, Nicole Ingleson. Nicole is a professional in every way. She is there every step of the way as you develop your characters and scenes for the showreel, from the first class to the day of the shoot. Nicole has a very clever Director’s eye, and honestly won’t let you shoot a bad showreel. She ensures that the scenes filmed are top quality, something you and the School are totally proud of.
Not only is Nicole an industry professional, but the whole film crew on the day of the shoot are as well, making your job as an actor that much easier. Overall there is nothing amateur about this course, and the levels it takes you to as an actor in just three months is amazing. I only have great things to say about Perth Film School and the Hollywood Package – I couldn’t recommend it more and I complete it feeling ready and confident to take on the acting industry!
